Sergio
Ramos injures knee, out for month
Spain and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos suffered a knee injury in his national team’s 2-0 win over Albania on Sunday night.
The
30-year-old was stretchered off in the 80th minute with tests later confirming
medial ligament damage, according to various reports.
While
the exact extent of his lay-off is yet to be confirmed, the recovery time is
anywhere between four-six weeks with such injuries, which would see him miss at
least two Champions League games and a La Liga clash with Athletic
Bilbao.
Ramos
is expected to undergo some more tests on his injured knee on
Monday to ascertain the exact extent of the injury.
He
has made nine appearances for Los Blancos this season, and the
capital side will hope their leader is back in action sooner rather than later.
