Anna Hazare to attend the trailer launch of his biopic

The teaser of the upcoming biopic Anna, which is based on Anna Hazare's life, has received a positive response from viewers. Now, to extend his support, the social activist will be present at the trailer launch, which is scheduled to take place today . Despite his busy schedule, Anna has agreed to attend the event and share his experiences.

Director and actor Shashank Udapurkar, who not only looks like the social activist, but also has the same mannerisms, says, “I am grateful to Annaji for giving me an opportunity to make a film on this life. It's quite commendable that he has taken out time from his hectic schedule to attend the trailer launch.“ The film, which also stars Tanishaa Mukerji, Sharat Saxena and Govind Namdeo, has been shot in real locations, including Delhi and Anna's native village, Ralegan Siddhi. Besides his much spoken-about anti-corruption fight, the biopic, which will be distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment in India, will also feature incidents from his childhood, something which people are not aware of.

Anna, presented by The Rise Pictures Pvt Ltd and produced by Manindra Jain, releases on October 14.
