Brangelina is no more. Angelina Jolie
Pitt has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt,
bringing an end to one of the world's most star-studded, tabloid
headline-generating romances. On Tuesday , an attorney for Jolie, Robert Offer,
said the actress has filed for the dissolution of the marriage. Offer said the
decision to divorce was made “for the health of the family .“

website TMZ reported that Jolie had filed for full physical custody of all six
of their children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and
Vivienne.TMZ, citing a legal filing, said Jolie “was extremely upset“ by Pitt's
parenting methods.
However,
another report said Jolie took the extreme step after she found that Pitt was having an affair with actress
Marion Cotillard. She had even hired a private eye after rumours started doing
the rounds about Pitt and Cotillard having a fling during shooting of “Allied“
this year.
Though
together for 12 years, Pitt and Jolie only married in August 2014.They married
privately in the French hamlet of Correns in Provence with their children
serving as ring bearers and throwing flower petals. They announced the ceremony
days later.
Jolie,
41, had a bohemian reputation early in her career but more recently has taken
on humanitarian causes and was named a special envoy for the UN High
Commissioner for Refugees.She has also spoken of breast cancer treatment after
undergoing a double mastectomy . She was previously married to actors Jonny Lee
Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
Pitt, 52,
was married to Jennifer Aniston in 2003 when he and Jolie began filming “Mr.
& Mrs. Smith“. There were reports of an affair during that time, but Jolie had said they were only “very ,
very good friends“ until Pitt and Aniston split in 2005.
